Founded in 2018, Esquisse Solaire is led with expertise and passion by Virginie Le Caër, PhD in Materials Science and Engineering.
With over 20 years of experience in research and development of innovative products and processes for the industry, Virginie Le Caër holds several patents in the field of BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics).
She has been involved in solar projects in Switzerland, Europe, and Canada since 2013 and notably participated in the construction of the largest BIPV facade in Europe, located at the International School of Copenhagen.
Today, her skills range from the design of innovative glass for the assembly of coloured photovoltaic modules to the architectural integration of solar panels as full-fledged building elements.
Proud of her independence, she advises and supports her clients impartially to integrate solar energy into their real estate projects in a practical, profitable, and aesthetic manner, offering the latest technological advances in the sector.
An engaged scientist in the energy transition, she is also co-founder and co-administrator of Newatts, a citizens' solar cooperative in Western Lausanne.
