ESQUISSE SOLAIRE IS A CONSULTING COMPANY, SPECIALIZED IN THE ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRATION OF SOLAR, MANAGED BY VIRGINIE LE CAËR, PHD IN MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING.
With more than 20 years of experience in the research and development of innovative products and processes for industry, Virginie Le Caër has several patents to her credit in the BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) sector.
Since 2013 she has been actively involved in solar projects in Switzerland, Europe, and Canada. She notably participated in the construction of the largest European solar facade, located at the International School of Copenhagen.
These projects have sometimes been recognized: Prix Solaire Suisse in 2015 and 2017, Iconic Awards in 2017, Civic Trust Awards in 2018, Active Label House in 2018, AZ Awards in 2018, Green Good Design Awards in 2019, Best in Class Awards in 2021, Brownie Awards in 2022 and CAGBC Awards in 2023.
Today, her skills extend from the design of innovative elements, intended for the assembly of photovoltaic modules, to the architectural integration of solar panels as construction elements.
Proud of her independence, it is with complete impartiality that she advises and supports her clients to integrate solar energy in a practical, profitable, and aesthetic manner into their real estate projects, by offering the latest advances in the sector.
A scientist committed to the energy transition, she is also co-founder and co-administrator of Newatts, a citizen solar cooperative in West Lausanne.
